What she does

If it's made of fabric and thread, she can fix it. Bring the piece and we'll talk it through.

Alterations & hemming

Waists, hems, sleeves — the right fit for your body.

Wedding & formal wear

Gowns, bridesmaids and suits, with fittings until it's right.

Zippers & repairs

New zippers, invisible mends, buttons back where they belong.

Made to measure

From pattern to final stitch, cut for one person only.

Curtains & home

Curtains, cushions, covers and linens sized to the room.

Leather & specialty

Leather, suede, silk and lace — fabrics that need a steady hand.

Kids & uniforms

Hems that let down again when they grow. No drama.

Costume & dance

Carnival, ballet, recitals — sequins, fringe and everything that moves.

About Fatima

One table, one machine, and thirty years of practice.

Fatima learned to sew in Brazil, from her mother, when she was still a girl. Now retired, she sews in the studio she set up at home — no rush, no shop window, just work done properly. Most of her customers arrive because a neighbour sent them.

How it works

01

Call or send a quote request

Tell her what you need and send a photo of the piece. She answers the same day.

02

Fitting and pins

You come by the studio, try it on, and she pins it there and then. Twenty minutes.

03

Ready to collect

Pressed, on a hanger, in three to five days. Formal wear takes a little longer.

“I brought her my mother's wedding dress from the 70s and she made it look like it was made for me. I cried.”
Renata M.
“Three pairs of trousers hemmed in two days, fair price, perfect finish. I don't go anywhere else.”
David O.
“She repaired my husband's leather jacket after two other tailors turned it down.”
Ana L.
